Meet the Designer
Killian Rieder, Chamilia co-founder and designer, believes that each of us has memories and experiences that we hold onto as time passes. With her Chamilia creations, Killian envisioned formulating a way to keep these life experiences near to us in a symbolic and meaningful fashion.
“The wonderful beauty of the beads is that they can be combined on a bracelet to create thousands of different looks as unique as the woman who wears it,” says Killian, a graduate of the renowned Fashion Institute of Technology.
Before co-founding Chamilia, Killian worked for fashion icons like Ralph Lauren Polo. Now she spends time creating hundreds of new beads, each one hand-designed like her very first, gaining inspiration from meaningful events in her life and the lives of Chamilia customers. Today, the Chamilia collection has grown to over 600 beads.
“The best part of working at Chamilia is to see other people’s creations and know that the beauty of the design comes not just from the beads, but from the meaning associated with them. Every bracelet tells a story about the person who’s wearing it,” Killian says.
